Scope: the server reads only what is reachable forward (file, its imports, header module, ancestor project.trb, package file lists) and asks hosts without a file system via notification torbscript/wantFiles {paths}; client answers torbscript/files {files:[{uri,text}]}. Client side belongs to orion/infra#2329 phase 2 (not here). Depends on slice 4.

Acceptance criteria:

  • Contract documented in LANGUAGE-SERVER.md.
  • Test with an in-memory provider that fails on any reverse or whole-tree read: a script and project.trb are fully typed from forward reads.
  • Linked on orion/infra#2329.

Epic: #505. Design: PR #504 (docs/design/SCRIPT-RECEIVERS.md). End goal: hover/highlighting/go-to-definition in Forgejo for project.trb and imported scripts (browser LSP: orion/infra#2329).

Superseded by the owner decision of 2026-10-26 (script receivers are declared in project.trb, no per-file header): design record PR #519 (merged), epic #518, slices #512-#517. Closing so the loop does not implement the retired header design. Reopen if the header design comes back.
